Nemacolin Resort - A Little Fall Getaway

Mom had some business meetings to attend at Nemacolin Resort this October, so Dad and I decided to tag along.

In case your never head of it, Nemacolin is a resort area in Pennsylvania where there are several hotels, a spa, 2 golf courses, a Hummer off-road academy, a wildlife center, shooting range, and all kinds of other activities. Fall is the quiet season there, so we spent a lot of time relaxing in our hotel room. Nice sheets! There is a pillow service where your butler (yes, we have a butler!) will bring you any kind of pillow you want. But I was pretty happy with what they had.

Dad and I partook of some room service breakfast. I never new they could just wheel a whole table of food in here!

MMMMMM!

Mom took me over to see the wild animals. There were three black bears, they looked hungry so we were glad there were two fences between us.

Have you ever seen a blond yak?

They even have a zebra!

After a long day, it is nice to have your butler draw you a bath. Here is the special bath he made just for me! It came with rose petals and rubber duckies!

After bath, it's always nice to get a long, warm hug from Mom.

My Big Girl Bed!

Hey, everyone! Dad may my crib into a big girl bed today! This is so exciting, I never knew of the possibilities!

So then it is nap time. Hmmm...I never really asked if it was ok to leave the bed myself. Maybe I should have asked to read the fine print on the contract.

I thought about it for a long time. And I decided it was safe to leave my bed if I just needed to clean my room. So I made my bed and put away all of toys. And went back to lay down. Phew, I live on the wild side sometimes!

Cox Farms Outing

It was a warm fall day...perfect to go to Cos Farms to ride the super slides. But this time I refused, I mean refused, to ride the slides. (Remember last year I threw my punpkin down?)

Well something about the slides scared me this time, just that point in my cognitive development, I guess. But I did enjoy the trains.

And we saw a BIG mama piggy that had just had her piglets yesterday!
Look at all her babies!!
And then Dad bought me some Kettle corn. I carried it all the way out to the car. It was mine. All mine. No, you can't have any.

A Visit to Ohio

Here I am in Ohio, visiting the Grandparents, of course!

It was harvest time in Grandma Betty's garden, we I dug up potatoes and picked okra and green beans and all kinds of good stuff that I don't eat!

Grandpa Don does some tricks for me that I found hilarious!

Here are my two Grandmas, awww, how cute!

Fore!

Here I am playing my first game of putt putt with Mom and Dad. Here I am checking the lie.

Oh, no! In the rough!
This one is for par:

Then at the last hole, I ran and told Mom and Dad right away that something was wrong with the hole and we should not, I repeat, should NOT put our balls down the hole. It was broken. I knew that if we hit our balls in, something bad was going to happen. So we walked over and handed our golf balls over to the nice lady at the counter. She looked at us funny.

Dora cupcakes!

Look what Mom helped me make! It was totally my idea. Ok, ok, so I saw a commercial on Noggin that showed how to make them and then I looked at Mom with really big eyes. The sprinkles were my idea, though. Nice touch, huh?

Yummy!

A tricycle? For me? You shouldn't have!

Well, ok, if you insist, I'll take it. Really, and it's pink and everything...just like I specifically asked for, specifically. Wow.

Magazine Reading

Grandpa KC got me a subscription to my first magazine and the first issue arrived today! It seems very educational...about wildlife and nature and stuff.

Mom, can I get this kitten?

Turtle Masterpiece

Mom came to pick me up the other day at school and the teacher's all said to her, "You should look at Reagan's artwork." Mom thought she maybe hadn't been paying enough attention to the art wall. So she took a closer look. The teacher asked me to show Mommy which one was mine. I pointed to the one in the middle. See?

I'm not sure what the big deal is, except I did try extra hard to make my turtle with circles and polka dots. I didn't just smear paint around like everyone else with the paintbrush. All the teachers came from all the other classrooms in the whole school to admire my art. Mom made Dad bring the camera in the next day to take a picture. Everyone was very proud!

Dutch Wonderland: My First Amusement Park

This is my first adventure at an amusement park, I've never really ridden on rides before. So Mom and Dad and I went to stay overnight near Hersey, PA to visit Dutch Wonderland. Dutch Wonderland is a park mainly for toddlers!

To everyone's surprise, I went immediately up to a ride called the Froggy Hopper. It's a platform that rises up in the air...and falls...over and over! I went to stand in line with Mommy. She kept asking me if I was sure I really wanted to do this. I was sure! At one point, I ran out of the line to find Daddy, but then I still came back. Then, it was our turn!

As soon as the ride started...I screamed and cried! Ok, so I didn't know what I was getting in to.

Then we rode all kinds of other rides - like the swan ride, the sky ride, and the merry-go-round.

Then Mom and Dad said one more ride, that it was just a nice little boat ride that looked like a log. But then, I realized...we were going up and up a really big hill. Hey, wait a minute...

...and then SPLASH!! That wasn't nice, Mom and Dad.

Track Star!

(By the way, Happy Birthday, Grandma!)

During our stay in PA, we explored the nearby town, which included the college of Franklin & Marshall. It was my very first campus visit!

It was a beautiful evening!

We found the athletic field and Dad and I decided to take a turn around the track.

I asked Dad what these were for, he said "hurdles." This is the best I could do for now.

Then we discover that I can really run! I ran almost a quarter of the way around the track myself, really fast. Ok, the secret was that Dad told me that this girl was chasing me. But she really wasn't. Anyway, I can really run!

Then we explored some beautiful gardens.

I got some pinecones, but they were sticky!

Here are some of the photos we took of the horticulture!

Fourth of July 2009

This year, Mom and Dad let me stay up to see some fireworks from our front yard! I think I had more fun with my glow in the dark puffer fish...

As usual, Uncle Fred and Grandpa KC came to visit for the holiday weekend. Here we are at a local zoo, Uncle Fred fed the goats for me because I was too scared!

We enjoyed all of the beautiful animals. Look at this peacock!

And, what's this? A sheep? Nooooo, that's Grandpa, silly!

Have you ever seen a camel this close? He almost licked us on the safari ride!

A beautiful zebra!

A family of deer...

A rhea mama and babies...

Grandpa and I enjoyed an afternoon stroll...watch out for the goose poop!
