Grandpa Don's Family Reunion

Dad, Mom, Uncle Fred and I travelled to Snowshoe, West Virginia to meet Grandma Betty and Grandpa Don for Grandpa's Family Reunion. This was my first two-night trip away from home!

First, getting there...this is me in the car:

Whoa! Those West Virginia roads are curvy! Thank goodness I was there to comfort Night Night Bunny. He held my hand very tightly when he got scared.

The reunion is hard to find...even with GPS:

We finally arrive and Dad finds me a wildflower:

This is me and Grandma:

She also wrote a wonderful blog entry about our trip!

This is me and Grandpa:

I am so happy to get to spend time with them! We had lots of fun playing and laughing together! Here we are in our hotel. It had three bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen (so Mom could make my ummms). Mom made sure to use all three bathrooms at least once. This is me playing in the living room:

We also visited a Civil War Battlefield. There was a field and some graves. And this thing that I examined with Dad, I guess it used to go "kaboooomie!"

Until next year!

I'm 6 months old!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. We were having camera trouble and computer trouble. Ahhh, technology! I promise to go back to two posts a week from now on! Since my last post, I passed a milestone - my 6 month birthday!

We celebrated with cake (ok, I didn't get to have cake, just Mom and Dad):

I have also reached two developmental milestones! I now eat "ummms" (solid food) twice a day and I can sit up!! See?

I also had my 6 month checkup. I weighed 16 lbs, 5 oz (55th percentile). I was 26.25 inches tall (70th percentile). And my head circumference was 16.5 in (35th percentile). Until next time, see ya!

My New Chair

Grandpa KC got me this new little chair! It's where I lounge and, you know, read Mom's Instyle Magazine.

It even has my name on! But that has not stopped Chloe from sitting in it. I guess Chloe can't read yet. So I have assigned a seat holder to save my seat while I am gone. See?

Laureen and Matt Visit

Mrs. Laureen and Mr. Matt came to visit us! They brought me some cute outfits! See?

But then, the next day...Dad decided to have fun with the bow that came on the gift box. Hmmm...I'm not so sure that's so funny.

A New School

This week, I started at a new school. I have much more attention and play time here. And Mom and Dad and all my grandparents get to watch me online. See? Here I am:

It's hard to figure out sometimes, but Mom says you can tell which one is me because I am the only one with very little hair! Sigh!

Where the wild things are?

Dad, Mom, and I went to the local garden center last weekend. The place was huge, like a jungle! Except we didn't run into any wild animals. Oh, well. We looked at lots of plants and beautiful landscaping. Here I am in front of a faux waterfall - looks natural doesn't it?

Here I am examing the foliage. Mom doesn't like to touch plants, so I touched them for her.

Mini Me

Mom and I dressed alike the other day. Aren't we cute?

Follow me!

Hi, my name is Reagan, and I will be your tour guide today for your visit to the Smithsonian's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

You see on your left...some airplanes. On your right...some airplanes.

Ok! Is it time for McDonald's yet?

Grandpa KC and Uncle Fred Visit Again!

I am so lucky to have enjoyed my second weekend with Grandpa KC and Uncle Fred. I feel they have both matured and grown so much since the last time I saw them. It is amazing how time flies. I told them to enjoy every moment.

Ready Set Bumbo

Now, I have a Bumbo seat too, but mine does not seem to have the same features as this one...check out this video from Yahoo! Video:

Fly Away Ladybug: A Book Report by Reagan

In the short story, Fly Away Ladybug (author unknown), the reader is taken on a journey much like the one we find in Homer's Odyssey. Mama Ladybug encounters both obstacles, manifested as raindrops, as well as distractions, depicted as lovely flowers, on her long journey home. Yet, despite her circuitous route, she manages to arrive at the place that she longs for the most, home with her three offspring, without harm. At this point, it is clear she has found peace within, as shown by her statement, "home, at last" [emphasis added].

But the things I like most about the book itself, however, are the crinkly pages and the little green feet that dangle from the bottom.

Next week, we take a look at Scieszka's The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, a telling of the famous story from the wolf's point of view. We will compare similarities between this work and Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.

4 Month Checkup

I had my 4 month Well Baby Visit at the doctor last week. As always, they tell me I am very strong! I weigh 14.1 lbs (60th percentile), am 25 inches tall (75th percentile), and have a head circumference of 15.75" (25th percentile). Mom and Dad call me "Little head long body." I also had my shots, two in each leg, see? Yes, I cried.

My New High Chair

Mom's friend Cindy (Media Buyer Extraordinaire!) and her husband Pat gave me this brand new Svan high chair! It is so beautiful! I'm sad that I am not quite ready to sit in it yet, but I am anticipating my first gourmet meal at the dinner table...Beef Wellington with a Demi Glace sauce! No? Ok. Maybe just a bowl of mush. Fine. Whatever. Doesn't seem fitting for such a nice chair.

Thank you, Cindy and Pat!

Supply and Demand

Mom says that if I continue to supply so much drool she'll demand that I wear a bib.

I met some new friends!

I got a chance to meet some new Aunts and Uncles last weekend!

This is Uncle Noah:

Auntie Rita:

Auntie Sam:

And Uncle Michael and Auntie Jessica:
Everyone was so nice...so I tried my very best not to drool on anyone.

Laureen and Matt's Wedding

We got all dressed up for Laureen and Matt's Wedding. I think we all looked pretty good! Most of all the beautiful bride Laureen!

Congratulations, Laureen and Matt!

Can I Get Room Service?

This is me at the Hilton, my first hotel stay. Nice thread count!

Mom wouldn't let me have the jelly beans from the mini bar though. Oh well.

School Days

Some of you know that Mom has gone back to the office a few days a week. Where am I? Well, this is where I am...

This is me in front of the play area with Dad.

This is me with one of the four really nice ladies who take care of me...

And this is me with Mom in front of my very own crib where I take naps...

So, don't worry! I miss Mommy but I am ok!

Picture Picture

Have you ever played that game where you look at two pictures and you try and tell what's been changed from one picture to another? For example, maybe the man's shirt has three buttons in one picture and four in the other? Or maybe the tree branch in the window is longer? Yeah? Ok. How about we play that game now! Ready...set...go!!!

Chloe, Reagan. Reagan, Chloe.

Dad, that's so interesting...ZZZZZ
